A surface that sets the tone for your kitchen, bar or reception. We tailor the dimensions, edges and blend of timber and resin to the space, everyday use and supporting structure.

Ideas for your project

Every surface has a job to do

Kitchen worktop

A food preparation area needs carefully planned joints, detailing around the sink and protection against moisture.

Bar top

A surface that works for guests and staff alike. We agree the height, overhang and a comfortable edge to lean against.

Reception counter

A distinctive first impression. We specify the countertop, visible cladding and supporting structure separately.

A work surface for an unusual space

A top for an alcove, island or working corner, with connections designed around the actual conditions of the room.

A beautiful surface starts with a precise fit

A countertop and a complete counter are different commissions. Your quotation makes clear whether we are making the surface alone or agreed structural elements too. Cabinets, plumbing, wiring and alterations to the room are not automatically included.

Dimensions and supportWe need a plan showing the supports. Any overhang is assessed against the top’s thickness and construction.
Cut-outs and openingsSizes and positions are based on the technical drawings for the actual sink or equipment you have chosen.
Edges and jointsWe agree the visible edge thickness, joint positions and how the surface meets the wall.
A finish for everyday useMoisture, heat and cleaning products all inform our choice of finish.
How a commission works

A clear path from idea to finished piece

Your space and measurements

Send a dimensioned sketch, photographs and a note on how the surface will be used.

Getting the details right

We check the supports, cut-outs, edges and exactly what is included.

Preparation and making

Once approved, we make the top and any related components agreed in your brief.

Installation as agreed

Transport and fitting arrangements are planned around access and the responsibilities of everyone involved on site.

Worktops and bar counters · practical advice

A little planning goes a long way

What to measure before you enquire

Mark the overall length and depth, corners, changes in level and support positions. Photographs add what a sketch may miss: an uneven wall, access restrictions or adjoining furniture. Final dimensions must be verified before production.

Plan carefully around water and heat

Cut-out edges and joints need particular care around a sink. Always use a trivet for hot cookware. We assess the finish for its intended use: resin alone does not establish heat resistance or suitability for food contact.

Cut-outs for the equipment you choose

A model number and technical drawing are more useful than an approximate opening in a photograph. We also need its position measured from fixed reference edges. Let us know about equipment changes before the top is machined.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know before you enquire

Can you replace an existing worktop?

We assess this from the condition of the cabinets and supports, dimensions and cut-outs. Please include photographs of the structure underneath.

Do I need a professional drawing?

A clear sketch is enough for an initial conversation. Before production, all critical dimensions and connections must be unambiguously agreed.

Can you make a sink cut-out?

We assess each cut-out against the material and the sink’s technical drawings, and agree how its edges will be protected.

Can you make a very long counter?

Length is considered alongside the material, support, transport and any necessary joints. We do not set a universal maximum without reviewing the brief.

How should I care for the surface?

We provide advice for your chosen finish. As a general rule, clean gently, wipe up water promptly and use trivets under hot items.

Worktops and bar counters: cut-outs, edges and fitting

A timber or resin worktop is more than decoration. It is a working surface that must fit the structure, services and demands of everyday use.

Designed for a precise fit

We consider length, depth, thickness and edges alongside cut-outs for sinks and equipment. Photographs reveal details a floor plan cannot show on its own.

Materials suited to the setting

A domestic worktop and a busy commercial bar face different demands. We consider the appearance of timber, resin and finish alongside maintenance and expected use.

Support and installation

Long tops need suitable support and carefully planned transport. Delivery and fitting arrangements depend on the layout, access and final dimensions.

Checking the surrounding elements before we make it

We make the top in our Bratislava workshop to the agreed dimensions, but an accurate fit also depends on the cabinets, walls and appliances on site. If final measurements are not yet available, send photographs and a sketch. We will explain which dimensions need verifying before production and whether fitting will be required.
